While there is no shortage of people ready to offer advice about energy conservation and renewable energy; AKT Peerless employs true energy professionals with the training and experience.

Some of the functions our Energy professionals include:

• Performing investment-grade energy audits for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings
• Leading efforts to retro-commission older buildings throughout the state
• Assisting property managers and portfolio managers in the private sector to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings
• Designing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) measures to improve energy efficiency in existing buildings Operation and Maintenance measures alone can reduce energy consumption by as much as 20 to 30-percent
• Unlocking additional sources of funding to finance energy improvement projects
• Certifying commercial buildings that meet the energy efficiency requirements of the EP Act of 2005. This federal incentive provides for a tax deduction of $1.80 per square foot for commercial buildings that meet specified energy efficiency requirements
• Providing guidance on renewable energy options
• Serving as consultants on energy policy to municipalities and county governments
• Serving as instructors in energy training programs
